NOICE/NOISE

A screeching drill at a road construction site. Roaring drunks on the last underground train. The overload of acoustic and visual impressions when scrolling through social media. Or the endless jumble of thoughts in your own head that just won't stop. All of this is noise. Noise never really stops.

In Paula Rosolen's latest work, three dancers seek a physical expression for this omnipresent phenomenon. The choreographer asks to what extent noise reflects social and historical changes. Is it merely an expression of unrest and dissonance or is there more to it than that? And what can noise achieve?

Through captivating choreography and a striking mise-en-scène, Rosolen navigates the space between disruption and rhythm, chaos and structure—inviting the audience to experience noise as both a disturbance and a driving force of movement.

A beautiful world premiere that takes us, synesthetically buzzing, across and beyond boundaries, enticing us."
